Hi, welcome to post.3 of ‘ALMOST UNDERSTOOD’, where I shall talk about everything and anything.
TEAMWORK AND CAMPS.
Teamwork is where all our patients are tested. I, as a student, have taken part in many activities where I’ve worked as a team, where it was very even-tempered because it was just inter-house competitions. But in camps, especially in camps where you must compete against any other schools, it is not very easy. Even though I’ve only attended a few myself, I’ve created many memories and have gained a vast experience. Some of the memories which are memorable for me are the morning drills (for which we’d have to get up early and take a shower. It was my most hated part of the routine), the long queue for food, when I missed my sash ribbon back home (for which I got scolded by my teammates and my escort. I was stupid to miss it. I admit it.) and when I messed up my badges.
Our escort was like a god & our savior. She was like our
own mother for those days back at the camp. She’d wake up all 8 of us (which
was quite a task) at 4:30 in the morning. I still remember she’d switched on the lights and called
each one of us. I was the one who’d get up first. The day before I’d have my
clothes ready. I’d get up, take my toothbrush and my clothes and I’d walk half
asleep to the bathroom and get a shower. Because of our escort madam, we got
snacks which was only for the escorts and the teachers of that school( I’m
still grateful for that🙏).
Us 8 girls used to have fights. These fights used to be over
silly issues. The fights were small, until one day it grew bigger. These days
we were mad at each other, like mad mad.
Our tasks, we couldn’t do it with our full spirit. It continued until our escort mam solved it for us. She made us all understand that we must stick with each other till the last day, then only we will be motivated to give our full spirit. I don’t know how it worked, but at the end of the day we 8 were against 210 girls. For a whole week we stood for each other no matter what. We couldn’t let some silly fights let down our school. On the last day of campfire, us 8 girls participated in different activities (Our school had full 8\8 girls participated. Whereas, in other schools only 2 or 3 girls participated in all activities). So it was like a big achievement for us. That’s when we all understood the essence of teamwork, how it made us reach our agenda swiftly. Hence, what I wish to say is stick with your team till the last.
This week I’ve been busy. I’ve performed in a temple for which I had practiced throughout the week. My results are to be announced this month (for which I’m a little tensed) and we went to watch a Malayalam movie called “Thudarum” in the theater starring Mohanlal. This movie was all about honour killings. This movie I’d say was a drama-crime-thriller type.
Song which was been repeated in my spotify this week: https://open.spotify.com/track/30yySOIXHZYx94sLAySy2j?si=3163695d741b4203
That’s it for this busy week. Thank you for reading till the last, it means a lot for me:)
until the next week👋
